Ensuring continuity of cybersecurity education across the nation, federal, state, local civic, and education leaders obtained federal grants and funding from the National Science Foundation in the development of the NICE Framework. Published for use in April 2013, The NICE Framework serves as a fundamental reference resource to support a workforce capable of meeting an organization’s cybersecurity needs. It provides organizations with a common, consistent lexicon that categorizes and describes cybersecurity work. Moreover, it serves as a valuable educational resource in designing curriculum content, research, and preparing students for requisite skills in the cybersecurity fields. Additional educational resources are provided to support diverse learning modalities, academic enrichment, and up-to-date data rich content.
