Ensuring continuity of cybersecurity education across the nation, federal, state, local civic, and education leaders obtained federal grants and funding from the National Science Foundation in the development of the NICE Framework and C5 Cyber Curriculum. The NICE Framework serves as a fundamental reference resource to support a workforce capable of meeting an organization’s cybersecurity needs. It provides organizations with a common, consistent lexicon that categorizes and describes cybersecurity work. Both serve as valuable educational resources in designing curriculum content, research, and preparing students for requisite skills in the cybersecurity fields. Additional educational resources are provided to support diverse learning modalities, academic enrichment, and up-to-date data rich content. Cybersecurity competitions are just the beginning to establishing strong pathways in building the ICT workforce. Ensuring students have articulated pathways, dual enrollment opportunities, and a college and career transition plan is part of the collaborative effort by all stakeholders in CA-CyberHub.
